 The Mountain House Mothers Club promotes the well being of parents and children through support, friendship, and education and the sharing of resources, ideas, talents, and experiences.
Current Activities
Tuesdays at the Park is from from 10:00 to 12:00 and Wednesdays at the Park is from 3:00 to 5:00, both playdates rotate between Central Park, Questa Park, and Wicklund Park. Please note, these playdates are weather permitting. In addition to the park, here's a quick glimpse at what we have planned for the coming months!

Bonfire at the Beach
Our trip to Muir Beach last summer was such a blast that we're throwing all the kids in the car and heading back over! We can build sand castles and play in the surf in the afternoon, and then have a potluck beach BBQ and bonfire. A great chance to roast some s'mores if you missed our camping trip!

Fall Craft Time - APPLES
Fall is here so let's make a craft to celebrate the new season. We'll be decorating placemats with apple prints and hand prints. Be sure to dress your little ones in a smock or play clothes. We'll also have storytime and learn a new song all inspired by apples.

Stitch ‘N Cavitch
Come join us for an afternoon of knitting, crocheting and chit chat. Bring your latest knitting or crocheting project and spend some time working on it while our kids play. All levels are welcomed to join us (this is a great opportunity for those who learned with Creative Mama’s to keep up the new skill!). With everyone taking a turn watching the kids you are sure to make some progress on your project.

Book Club: The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks
In September, we venture into the world of non-fiction writing with The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. Join us as we follow author Rebecca Skloot as she "takes us on an extraordinary journey, from the “colored” ward of Johns Hopkins Hospital in the 1950s to stark white laboratories with freezers full of HeLa cells; from Henrietta’s small, dying hometown of Clover, Virginia—a land of wooden slave quarters, faith healings, and voodoo—to East Baltimore today, where her children and grandchildren live, and struggle with the legacy of her cells."
